Common carrot is widely cultivated in many countries as a food plant. Raw material of this plant has antispasmodic, antibacterial, cytotoxic, antiparasitic, cardioprotective, and hepatoprotective activity.Common carrot in non-pharmacopoeial Ukraine, therefore, it requires in-depth pharmacognostic study.
